Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2, 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Westhub Academy (the "Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), including our website, courses, live cohorts, one-on-one sessions, and certificates. By creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy.
1. Acceptance of Terms
You must read and accept these Terms during registration before you can create an account. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not register for or use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and consented to these Terms on your behalf.
3. Account Registration & Responsibilities
- You must provide accurate, current information when registering, including where applicable your National Identification Number (NIN) and passport photograph, used solely to verify identity for certificate issuance and cohort/class enrollment.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Course Access & Validity
- Self-taught courses. When you enroll in a course directly (not as part of a cohort or one-on-one session), your access is subject to a validity period shown on the course page. Free courses (including free courses with a paid certificate) carry a fixed 6-month validity period from the date of enrollment.
- Reactivation. If your validity period expires before you complete a self-taught course, the course locks and further lessons become inaccessible. You may pay a one-time Reactivation Fee of ₦20,000 to extend your access by a further 6 months from the date of reactivation. This fee exists to encourage timely completion and is not refundable (see Section 6).
- Cohort and one-on-one sessions. Access to a cohort or one-on-one class is governed by the schedule and duration set for that class, not by the self-taught validity mechanism above.
- Progress already recorded and any certificate already issued are never lost when access locks — only further lesson content becomes unreachable until renewed.
5. Cohort & Live Class Enrollment
- Cohort and one-on-one class fees are payable in full at the time of enrollment. Installment or part-payment plans are not offered.
- A cohort created by an instructor is reviewed by an administrator or supervisor before it becomes visible to students; cohorts created directly by an administrator or supervisor are visible immediately.
- If a cohort you are interested in is full, you may join its waitlist to be notified by email when a new cohort for that course is opened.
- Multiple instructors may be assigned across different cohorts or one-on-one sessions of the same course; an instructor is paid for the sessions they are assigned to teach, not for authoring course content.
6. Payments
Payments are processed securely through our third-party payment processor, Paystack. We do not store your card or bank details.
All payments made on the Platform — including course fees, certificate fees, cohort and one-on-one session fees, and reactivation fees — are final and non-refundable, regardless of whether you complete the course, attend a session, or use the certificate. Please review course details carefully before purchasing.
In the rare event of a duplicate or erroneous charge caused by a technical fault on our part, contact us at study@westhubict.com and we will investigate and correct the error at our discretion.
7. Certificates
Certificates are issued upon successful completion of a course and, where applicable, payment of the certificate fee. Certificates carry a unique verification code that can be checked on our public verification page. Certificate fees are non-refundable once a certificate has been generated.
8. Course & Instructor Reviews
Students who complete or are enrolled in a course may submit a course review and may rate their instructor's performance. All submitted reviews and ratings are held for moderation before being published or counted toward an average, and may be rejected at our discretion (for example, for abusive, defamatory, or off-topic content).
9. Intellectual Property
All course content, videos, materials, assessments, and the Platform's software and design are the property of Westhub Academy or its instructors and are protected by copyright. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, or publicly share course materials without our prior written consent.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Share your account credentials or class/cohort codes with anyone not enrolled;
- Submit another person's work as your own for grading or assessment;
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or to harass, abuse, or defraud any other user or instructor;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform or another user's account.
11. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, fraudulent payment activity, or abusive conduct toward staff, instructors, or other students. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any fees already paid.
12. Limitation of Liability
The Platform is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Westhub Academy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Platform after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law principles.
15. Contact
